About This Tour
Tbilisi is a city of contrasts — where ancient and modern exist side by side in the most beautiful way. You'll find centuries-old churches next to avant-garde architecture, traditional sulfur baths around the corner from trendy wine bars, and narrow cobblestone alleys that open up into grand European-style boulevards. This city has been a crossroads of civilizations for 1,500 years, and every corner tells a story.
We'll start in Abanotubani, the historic sulfur baths district that gave Tbilisi its name (from "tbili," meaning warm). Legend has it that King Vakhtang Gorgasali discovered the hot springs while hunting, and decided this was the perfect place to build a capital. From there, we'll walk through the charming Old Town, ride the cable car up to Narikala Fortress for panoramic views, and discover the hidden Legvtakhevi Waterfall right in the heart of the city — most visitors walk right past it without knowing it's there.
Whether you're here for a day or just want to get oriented before exploring on your own, this tour gives you the real Tbilisi — not just the tourist checklist, but the stories, the food, the people, and the hidden spots that make this city one of the most fascinating capitals in the world. I was born here, and I still discover new things every week.

Frequently Asked Questions
How much walking is involved?
The Old Town portion involves about 3-4 km of walking on cobblestone streets and some hills. We take breaks and go at your pace. The cable car saves a steep climb to Narikala Fortress.
Is this tour suitable for kids?
Absolutely! Kids love the cable car ride, the waterfall, and exploring the narrow streets of Old Town. I adjust the pace and stops to keep everyone happy — I'm great with kids and teenagers.
Do you offer a full-day option?
Yes! The half-day covers the main highlights. For a full day, we can add the National Museum, Mtatsminda Park, the Ethnographic Museum, or even a food tour through the markets. Just let me know what interests you.
What is the best time of day to start?
Morning is ideal — the light is beautiful and the Old Town is less crowded. But Tbilisi is stunning at any hour, especially at sunset from Narikala Fortress. I can adjust the schedule to your preference.
Is food included in the tour?
Meals are not included in the tour price, but I'll take you to the best local spots for authentic and affordable Georgian food. Lunch is built into the itinerary at a restaurant I personally recommend.
